In the early sixties, Frank and Caroline Mouris created Frank Film his animated, nine-minute autobiography. More than a quarter century later, Frank finally convinces Caroline that she should tell her life story in an animated film. But he insists on "helping" her and the resulting dialogue between them says just as much about their working/living relationship as it does about her life.

In Frank Film, Frank talked to the audience by himself (and to himself) about his life, imagining a fantastically successful future (which came true in a year). In Frankly Caroline, Caroline and Frank talk to the audience, when they aren't arguing with each other, about how to present her life to you.
