Speeding? is a highly entertaining, yet thought-provoking film which deals with attitudes toward law enforcement, traffic safety and ethics. Screening it guarantees a response from any audience. A Cameraman-Interviewer talks to police officers and people who have just received speeding citations. The officers are from the California Highway Patrol and the Corona, California Police Department. They discuss what they do, how they go about it and their personal and professional attitudes. The speeders are actors who vividly, and sometimes comically, enact carefully scripted roles which represent reactions to receiving speeding tickets.

Reviews: "While Speeding? is definitely traffic oriented, the stimulation it can provide for discussion is not limited to considerations of traffic violations as such, but can be easily be used in a variety of social studies, psychology, or `problems` classes wherever a realistic focus on attitudes is desired." -Journal of Traffic Safety Education"The offenders` self-righteous, sarcastic, and usually amusing comments are recognizable as typical motorist reactions... this entertaining production will promote relevant discussion..." -Booklist Other Credits: A film by Mitchell Block and Alec Hirschfeld |
