Close to Home takes an unprecedented look at this crime and the complexities surrounding its disclosure when the offenders are trusted community members. Weaving together intimate interviews of abuse victims and videotaped forensic testimony, Close to Home contrasts five personal accounts of child sex abuse with the chilling statements of convicted sex offenders. Close to Home was produced by the Mark McGwire Foundation for Children, Established in 1997 by former U.S. Olympian and baseball player Mark McGwire (St. Louis Cardinals).
